KOKOMO CANCELS FOOTBALL GAME AGAINST HAMILTON HEIGHTS, HUSKIES WILL JOIN WILDKATS IN TORNADO CLEANUP EFFORTS INSTEAD

Football - Kokomo

From Kokomo HS Athletic Director Jason Snyder

Due to the events over the last day, the football game between Kokomo and Hamilton Heights has been cancelled for Friday, Aug. 26.

We have several students and community members who are still battling with power and shelter issues and a decision had to be made this afternoon since we were playing at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Kokomo has made an agreement with Ray Compton, promoter of the event, that the Kats will play a North Central Conference game later in the season at Lucas Oil Stadium. That date has yet to be finalized, but will be decided by Aug. 29 at the latest. Ticket refund information will be sent out on Aug. 29 as well.

Instead of playing on Friday, Hamilton Heights has offered to come to Kokomo and help clean up and support our team and community. The Kokomo and Hamilton Heights teams and coaching staff will meet at KHS at 4:30 p.m. and will help the United Way of Howard County wherever there is a need.

We greatly appreciate the support from Hamilton Heights and their community as well as your support during this tough time.
